'Tis the season to be jolly and most enthusiasts are looking for fresh new stocking stuffers, just in time for the holidays. Unfortunately, there doesn't seem to be any more big hardware announcements as the last few weeks of 2011 come to a close. Big announcements are often reserved right after December for CES Las Vegas in January, where the next year's upcoming consumer technologies are unveiled. Luckily for PC gaming enthusiasts, NVIDIA has been busy in their workshop, crafting a new limited edition GTX 560Ti based on the GF110 core.

The GF110 architecture is shared by the GTX 580 and the GTX 570, making the new 448 core GTX 560Ti a close cousin, in terms of performance. Even better, NVIDIA's most prolific and hardest working holiday elf, called EVGA, adds a dash of their own magic into the GTX 560Ti 448 Core video card by unleashing two factory overclocked versions: FTW and Classified Edition. As with previous EVGA Classified Edition video cards, the new GTX 560Ti 448 Cores Classified was designed with overclockers in mind.

The EVGA GTX 560Ti 448 Cores Classified sports 8-pin+6-pin power connectors, as well as a 6-phase digital PWM. This makes the EVGA GTX 560Ti 448 Cores Classified effectively stable at high overclocks. Improving upon the GTX 570 Classified design, the GTX 560Ti 448 Cores Classified is outfitted with the EVGA “dual-shot” cooling system and high-airflow bracket to ensure proper thermal levels when performance tuned to higher GPU frequencies and voltages. With an MSRP of 299.99 USD, the EVGA GTX 560Ti 448 Core Classified Edition is positioned right in between the 250 USD GeForce GTX 560 Ti (GF114) and the 350 USD GTX 570 video card.
