The USB port has really evolved over time. It was only about 14 years ago that we were introduced to the first fully functional USB ports. Over time, they have only gotten faster and more convenient. Specifications and power techniques have changed to allow bigger and better devices to be used with the USB port. I mean heck, you can charge your phone on a USB port now. It only seems to be getting better and better.
Portable storage seems to be all of the rage. The only problem is that when you start hitting the bigger storage devices, the limitations with the USB 2.0 speeds cause large file transfers to take an eternity.
