The Vantec NexStar VaultThe Vantec NexStar Vault comes in a silver reflective box. It is laid out to look like a vault with a picture of the combination dial in the center and rivets around the border. The NexStar logo is on the bottom. The backside lists the product description, features, specs and system requirements. The right side explains the 50/50 partition and format it will do to your hard drive, once plugged in.
The inside box slides out on either the top or bottom of the cover. It is a plain black box that opens from a front flap. Inside that box is the travel case, NexStar Vault, user manual and a Y USB cable.
The Vantec NexStar Vault is a very small and sleek unit. The front face has the keypad that goes from 0-9, an enter button, a power LED on the top right and corner that turns blue when on and a red INVALID LED, that gives you your input queues, as laid out in the manual. The top has the USB port. The left and right sides are identical, with silver vents.
The backside has the panel that opens up when you push the clip and slide it downwards. Inside you get the SATA plug and a format warning sticker. The removable panel has a metal plate for heat displacement.
