Just like diligent ants store food for the rainy season, modern humans store large amounts of multimedia files to entertain ourselves when boredom strikes. Music and video libraries that used to take up entire rooms now fit inside palm-sized storage solutions. Computers that used to take up entire floors now also fit in your front pocket. The only problem is that these portable mini-computers we use for on-the-go multimedia playback are not as modular and upgradeable as a desktop PC, providing very little option, if any, for storage expansion.
