Sandra 2011 added a media transcode benchmark that uses the Media Foundation in Windows 7. A typical WMV created in Windows Movie Maker is converted to H.264 then transcoded again to various H.264 profiles. Sandra 2011 has the option to benchmark hardware transcoding or software transcoding. Unfortunately, at this moment only those using nVidia ForceWare 196.xx can use the GPGPU transcoding option (i.e. GTX 200 or lower).
