ConclusionPrice Point Price: $119.00 Class: Mainstream The NZXT Power Performance 800 is priced on the lower end of the mainstream scale. Compared to some of the prices of other PSUs in the 700W to 800W range, it is a steal. Performance I was unable to max out the PP800, but I did get it up to 527W. The NZXT Power Performance 800 is quiet. I could still tell it was running but, compared to other PSUs I have used, it was definitely one of the more quiet ones. As far as temperature goes, the NZXT PP800 rose only five degrees over room temperatures. Reviewer's Opinion The NZXT PP800 did a good job keeping up with my computer's load and really did not output that much heat. As I said earlier, I was unable to max out the NZXT but during load I did not hear any whining or see other signs of distress from the NZXT Power Performance 800. The installation of the NZXT PP800 was good but I found that if your case has your PSU located on the bottom of your tower, the PP800 cables may not be able to reach some of the components. This is because of the short cables that the PP800 has. It would be great for a top oriented PSU case but from the bottom of the case, I needed extensions to get the cables to reach. For the price and performance, the NZXT Power Performance 800 is a good power supply for the money. NZXT has a great reputation for manufacturing good products with solid performance. If you go with lesser known manufacturers, or value manufacturers, this can lead to low rails or a short power supply life. You don't want that, because with the right type of surge from that PSU, you could blow a component, and no one wants that to happen.
