    xtaticair

Sharkoon is expanding their range of gaming headsets with a wireless version. The X-Tatic Air wireless multiplatform headset was developed specifically for the needs of console gamers. The stereo headset is compatible with Sony Playstation 3, Microsoft Xbox 360, Nintendo Wii, PC and notebooks as well as TV sets and other sound sources with RCA audio outputs. Installation is quite simple: The transmitter is quickly connected to the respective terminal through the enclosed adapter. Of course, all voice chat features on the consoles are fully supported. In regards to the PS3, the microphone function is connected directly to the gaming console via USB. The microphone input on the Xbox 360 controller is simply connected to the headset through the enclosed chat cable. The digital 2.4 GHz transmission technology of the X-Tatic Air ensures clear voice and game sound within the vicinity of up to ten meters. Two AAA NiMH rechargeable batteries provide the power supply and enables gaming sessions of up to ten hours. Two additional AAA batteries are also included, which are charged and stored within the base station. This guarantees that fully charged batteries are always readily available and can be quickly swapped-out. The headset informs the player audibly when the batteries are running low and should be changed. This ensures that nothing gets in the way of continuous operation with the X-Tatic Air. Additional AA batteries are included which can be charged and stored in the base station until their next use in an Xbox controller. Also, a PS3 controller can be connected and charged through the front USB port on the base station. Thus the USB port, which is used for connection to the transmitter base station, ensures that nothing is lost in terms of power supply.

The system consists of two parts; a 12v DC pump head with skived copper waterblock and a large aluminum liquid-to-air heat exchanger. Let's examine the working end of the Hydro H100's pump head/waterblock by removing the eight screws that hold the copper base plate down. Inside we find..."

  • Z77 Overclocking Motherboard Shootout - MSI vs ASRock

"We've seen more than our share of motherboards sporting the Z77 chipset, but today we have a pair of Z77 boards--one each from ASRock and MSI--that are designed specifically for overclocking. Even better, both of these mainboards are actually mid-range offerings, meaning you can enjoy the overclocking features without paying for the highest-end options from the two companies. What better way to put them through the paces than by setting up a good old-fashioned mainboard shootout? Because Z77 was made to be paired up with Intel's Ivy Bridge processors, we slapped a quad-core Intel Core i7-3770K in these two contenders and let the fur fly. But first, let's take a look at the ASRock Z77 OC Formula and MSI Big Bang Z77 MPOWER."

  • Amped Wireless R20000G High Power Dual Band Router Review

"After using the Amped Wireless R20000G for a couple of weeks, one of the things we noticed is that the R20000G does have quite the amplifier built in to the unit. Our wireless tests showed that the Amped Wireless Router wasn't the fastest in our battery of speed tests, but we did observe a pretty robust range of use. Amped Wireless markets the R20000G Router as a WiFi device that has tremendous range and power. While this doesn't necessarily equal speed, the range that a router performs is very important for many users..."

  • Synology DiskStation DS213air NAS Review

"The new DS213air NAS from Synology is quite an interesting product, offering a WiFi interface that can be used as a wireless hotspot, a wireless router or to join a wireless network. The price, however, is a bit high so we would recommend it more in small business environments rather than for homes."
