I would definitely consider myself one of those people who likes to shop around and does not jump at the first deal that comes at them. I like to do my research and find the product that is going to fit my needs best and not cost me extra money. This style of living is not making me richer by any means, because sometimes I end up purchasing a more expensive item, even though other times I may end up purchasing something really cheap because it works just as well. It all seems to balance out in the end and I end up spending an average amount on items overall.
The one thing that I don’t like to skimp on is my electronics. Though there are exceptions to every rule and sometimes you can find low cost electronics or components that are awesome, I have not come across too many components that would fall into this category. Recently, however, we took a look at the AMD A10-7850K APU and I have to say I was thoroughly impressed with its ability to kick some butt, especially considering its low price tag. An APU, of course, won’t work on its own and the MSI A88X-G45 Gaming board seemed like the perfect companion and was also low priced to fit the need.
The MSI A88X-G45 Gaming board is a standard ATX form factor motherboard that is targeted at mainstream users. The MSI A88X-G45 Gaming motherboard features the FM2+ slot, which is compatible with the AMD “Kaveri” APUs, but is also backwards compatible with chips that fit into the FM2 slot. It is part of MSI’s gaming line of motherboards, so it has similar features to other boards in that line, including the Qualcomm Killer NIC E2205 Gigabit LAN, plenty of connectivity options for USB 3.0, HDMI, DisplayPort, VGA, and DVI. Additionally, the audio system has optical audio and six audio jacks with audio boost technology. To top the board off we have MSI’s Click BIOS 4, OC Genie 4, Military class 4 components, and support for 4K resolutions.
