How many times has something supposedly called new been launched and when you really look at it, nothing changed except for a new sticker or something cosmetic? I can’t lie; I have seen this with computer hardware for years. Ok your product has a new chipset or wow you put a new sticker on the box. Really! What else is different? Did you add a new technology that is cutting edge? Are you offering me something that no one else has? Too often we see computer component manufacturers’ fall into the “this is what always worked so we will stick with it attitude”. This attitude will work for a while but eventually the old stand by becomes passé and lacks the punch it use to pack.
Gigabyte Technologies has been a manufacturer of computer components (motherboards, graphics and peripherals) for over 20 years. There was a time when Gigabyte had no problem being on the cutting edge. Somehow that changed and for about three to four years, innovations were few and what once was a major selling point was just something to expect. Last year I think Gigabyte finally realized their short comings and began changing designs and technologies. Lets face I was even getting sick of the multicolor. The first thing Gigabyte did was to change the color scheme of their motherboards and packaging. This was a good start but they were still behind in the realm of 100% digital engine. For a while they even claimed that Analog was better. Their first semi digital engine from Gigabyte was a hybrid but when the X79 Chipset was launched that hybrid engine did not have the punch and sent Gigabyte back to the drawing board. With the launch of the Intel Z77 chipset Gigabyte has now entered the realm of 100% digital.
The Gigabyte Z77X-UD3H Motherboard is built around the Intel Series 7 Chipest. The Z77X-UD3H supports the 3rd generation 22nm Intel Core processors which are codenamed "Ivy Bridge". Gigabyte has put a lot of thought into the production of this motherboard it is designed with all digital power it boasts new Dual UEFI 3D BIOS for ease of performance tuning by giving the user more intuitive control. Although Gigabyte Z77X-UD3H motherboard comes with many features Gigabyte has made its staple: such as Ultra Durable, 3 Year Warranty, 333 onboard acceleration and their Software suite (Easy Tune, @BIOS, Q-Flash) there some new and innovative software and hardware features we have not seen on previous Gigabyte branded motherboards.
