Isn't it great when two great things sync together beautifully. There are many examples of this out in the world. Take, for instance, Reese's Peanut Butter Cups. There's just a harmonious blend of peanut butter and chocolate, all wrapped up in a neat an tidy container. It's a testament to how sweet and salty really does a number on our taste buds. I'm not a big candy eater, however, if you put a few of those in front of me, they won't last long. Although, anytime this is brought up, Family Guy has put a tainted scene in my mind. If you're a fan of the show, you know what I'm talking about.

High end computer users ask for another perfect blend when it comes to their computer components. They want high performance and loads of multimedia features. They want to have near everything at their fingertips, even if they won't use it. It's just nice knowing that the option is there if the need arises. The last generation of Intel chipsets took a hacksaw to features and divided them up into a million different pieces. This made some people mad as they had to choose one side or another when choosing a motherboard. This next release is looking to rectify this problem and put everything into one package.

That package would be the ASUS P8Z68-V Pro Motherboard. The ASUS P8Z68-V Pro Motherboard takes the multimedia of the H67 and harmoniously combines it with the high performance and features of the P67. The CPU Turbo Ratio and BCLK were only overclockable on the P67 and the iGPU was only overclockable on the H67. This can all now be done on the Z68 chipset. There is LGA1155 support for the latest 2nd generation Intel Core i3, i5, and i7 processors. The ASUS P8Z68-V Pro has Memory support up to 2200MHz (O.C.) and has a max capacity of 32GB. ASUS included many industry leading features, such as a 16 phase design (12 Phase CPU + 4 Phases iGPU) and their DIP2 technology, which combines the EPU and TPU for ultimate power saving, system stability, and overclocking capabilities. New to the Z68 chipset is the Intel RST Smart Response Technology and switchable graphics via Lucid Virtu and Nvidia Synergy(coming soon). Because the ASUS P8Z68-V Pro has iGPU capabilities, there is also room for Intel's Quick Sync Video for the ultimate transcoding. The ASUS P8Z68-V Pro also upgraded USB capabilities with an improved ASMedia USB 3.0 controller that adds 2 extra ports for 4 (2 rear, 2 front) total over the H67 motherboard. ASUS Disk Unlocker will allow 2.2TB+ HDDs to boot in Windows XP/Vista/ and 7. ASUS AiCharger superpowers the USB 3.0 ports to allow 3x faster charge times.
