Testing will be done on the Kingston HyperX Red Limited Edition DDR3-1600 2x4GB Memory Kit Review by running synthetic benchmarks, as well as real world game play, with the following programs that are regularly available to everyone to benchmark their own hardware. We start with SiSoft Sandra memory benchmark (bandwidth, latency, cache and memory) followed by AIDA64 (Memory and Latency), Call of Duty: Black Ops (performance/FPS) and PCMark 7 (Storage, Productivity, and Computation).

Tested Memory Speeds and Latencies
Philosophy
To test memory performance, the CPU Reference clocks are adjusted or Memory Divider is increased and multipliers are decreased to keep the processor at the same speeds. This is an attempt to test the memory's performance with as little CPU involvement as possible. At Hi Tech Legion, we feel that to measure memory's true performance and obtain a true value on how much performance can be obtained, memory should be tested at its recommended voltages and timings. With this philosophy, we feel you will get the true results on how much a module can be pushed before it begins to fail. (Denoted by Bold Type)
