Page 1 of 7 IntroductionWe are currently in a world where instant gratification and not being tied down have become the status quo. Why should this be any different when it comes to the technology in our lives? We have wireless hotspots, wireless cellular phones, and even portable gaming systems that communicate wirelessly. With all the attention going to the ability of not being tethered to something that restricts our movement, the technology has made its way down to even the small details of the computing experience such as the mouse. The Logitech V450 Nano Laser Cordless Mouse for Notebooks is the high performance answer for those already concerned with portability as a notebook computer owner. The Logitech V450 Nano Laser Cordless Mouse for Notebooks has a good balance between size, portability, ease of use, and responsiveness. The battery life is fairly extensive due to its use of two AA batteries, and provides many days worth of use without the need for battery replacement. There is a low battery indicator as well as battery monitoring within the software downloaded for the mouse. There is a power button located on the bottom of the mouse, and also features an auto shutdown feature after a period of dormancy. The most significant improvement over other models is the extremely compact USB receiver that accompanies the mouse. This receiver is so small that it can easily be left plugged into the notebook at all times even when being put into a case or bag for storage. Logitech also thoughtfully included a USB dock with cable so that the mouse could be used at a distance from the notebook, or if being used with a desktop with USB ports that are not reasonably accessible.
