Page 1 of 6 IntroductionJust about every electronic device in our lives has some kind of interface with the computer through a USB cable. All too often, however, our computers just don’t have enough USB ports available to accommodate all of the USB devices that we use on a regular basis. Everything from cell phones, mp3 players, cameras, camcorders, thumb drives, and so many other devices are controlled and interfaced with USB connectivity and so many computers have so few ports available. So rather than having to constantly unplug different devices to just plug in another one, there came the development of the USB hub that offered several extra ports to be connected through one USB cable to the computer.
Many companies have developed different approaches to USB hubs including small non powered hubs to larger, AC powered hubs. Some are more portable than others, and some offer the advantage of accommodating a larger number of devices. Hiyatek has developed their own entry into the USB hub market with a rather nice show of style and quality.
The Hiyatek HB 8700 is a powered 7 port USB hub. The Hiyatek HB 8700 features a stand up design for simplicity sake at your desk or workstation. The stylish black with chrome accents makes for a pleasant appearance at any desk or workstation with a pleasant feel of quality in the hub’s construction. |
