Page 1 of 5 IntroductionThe world is in a constant state of change, whether it is through technological innovation or through the machinations of influential and powerful figures who want to reshape the world to fit their ideals. Conflicts rise from the clash of these beliefs and in the middle are the soldiers that put their lives in the line of fire. We try to remember their sacrifice by honoring Veteran’s Day, yearly. There are those, however, who have dedicated their lives for their country to fight conflicts in far flung, clandestine missions, but go uncelebrated and unlamented. These are soldiers who operate outside of standard military protocol; soldiers tasked to carry out black operations.
Call of Duty: Black Ops is the latest installment of the massively popular Call of Duty series. Call of Duty: Black Ops is set in the cold war era, with most missions occurring as flashbacks, including one set at the end of World War II. Well-known historical figures make cameos in the game, either giving you an order to carry out or as a target. Black Ops maintains the fast paced single player mode we have come to expect in the Call of Duty series but features a much more interesting storyline, mired in conspiracies and clandestine operations.
Call of Duty: Black Ops fully supports Nvidia 3D Vision, delivering immersive stereoscopic 3D gaming for GeForce video card users. Call of Duty: Black Ops carries an “excellent” 3D vision rating with the game profile support added in Nvidia driver release 260.99 WHQL. Whether you’re mowing down a troop of marauding VCs with your machine gun or handling wet work operations in Communist controlled states, 3D Vision adds a level of depth in Call of Duty Black Ops, never before seen in any first person shooter games.
