Do you remember playing the original Duke Nukem games? I don't mean the shooter adaptation that came much later. The actual original games. They were side scrolling platformers released by Apogee Software back in 1991. I used to have a subscription to PC Gamer Magazine. Each new magazine game with a demo disk loaded with goodies for me to try out. Duke Nukem happened to be one of those games. It wasn't until the 3rd Duke Nukem game that we saw a change in gameplay from a platformer to a first person 3D shooter. That wasn't until 5 years later.
Duke Nukem 3D featured voice acting, which put a personality to the character. We were introduced to the one liner king that was very crass and hyper-sexual. At the time, this was very controversial and caused the game to get banned in many countries. Censored versions were released to appease certain masses. However, for us computer nerds, we were able to see Duke in all his glory. In 1997, there was an announcement of a sequel being made, much to the delight of many hardcore gamers. However, this soon turned into a battle of patience, as the game never came to light. We were only given rumors and excuses, to the point where it was deemed vaporware. Now, 15 years later, the sequel has finally been released.

The title has been ironically labeled Duke Nukem Forever. Duke Nukem Forever is originally based off of the Unreal Engine, but as time passed, technology improved. While keeping the same foundation, it was heavily modified to keep up with the times. Therefore, it could almost be deemed a creation of its own. Duke Nukem Forever features our leading man, in all of his glory, that we know and love. He shoots off one liners like they're going out of style and there is T&A run rampant. This isn't a game for mom. Features include an ego system instead of health, interactive environment items like air hockey and pinball, puzzle solving, and hilarity galore.
