Introduction

Technology moves fast, and it seems to be getting faster every day. It seems that just about anything you buy these days is outdated by the time you get it home. Whether it be the latest cell phone, television, video card or processor, something newer, bigger and badder is just around the corner. It seems to be a constant struggle trying to keep up and many are dismayed that after shelling out top dollar for what they thought was top of the line, something replaces it at the top of the heap so quickly. But, in an evolving world of technology, that is always going to be the nature of the game.

There are those that see great value in this constant top of the heap battle. The fact of the matter is, that when the new king of the hill arrives, last week’s king of the hill drops in price or its technology is incorporated into lower priced mainstream units. That $500 video card you saw six months ago is now regularly priced around half of that – and it is STILL the same card. Not only that, there are newer models delivering similar performance and features for even less, while eating less wattage. If you had bought that card six months ago, odds are you would still have it and be using it for some time into the future. So, in essence, buying it now saves you a couple of hundred dollars to be in exactly the same position you would have been in, had you paid top dollar for it. Or, you could pick up one of the new mainstream cards with even later technologies. This happens in all segments of the market, even CPU cooling. The once high dollar, high maintenance liquid cooling option has moved into more mainstream pricing and usage.

The Antec Kuhler H2O 620 CPU Cooler is one of the newest offerings in self contained liquid CPU cooling with zero maintenance. The technologies of the Antec Kuhler H2O 620 would have been available only in the highest priced enthusiast coolers a short time ago, but Antec is now delivering them in an affordable, easy to install and maintain unit. The Kuhler H2O 620 offers all of the benefits of liquid cooling, including lowered CPU and component temperatures, without the complications typically associated with liquid cooling. The Kuhler H2O 620 uses only one 120mm speed controlled 1450-2000rpm exhaust fan, which typically replaces an existing fan, making it one of the quietest coolers on the market. With easy installation and compatibility with Intel 775, 1155, 1156 and 1366, as well as the AM2/AM3 platform, the Kuhler H2O 620 can fit almost any application with space for a 120mm fan. The Kuhler H2O 620 also takes up almost no room inside the case, compared to today’s air cooling solutions, allowing for better overall airflow through the case.
