Page 1 of 7 IntroductionCould you imagine being trapped underground for over 2 months? I think I would go crazy. No TV, no computers, no Internet, and 32 other guys right in the thick of it going crazy with you. I think I'd last a week before I tried to dig my way out. I was raised around technology my whole life. I can't sit for long periods of time without hitting up a computer, or playing with my cell phone. I wonder how it would feel underground, too. Would it be cold or hot? I'd think it would start cold but body heat and lack of good ventilation would heat the space up. All of the pictures we saw of the miners had them nearly stripped naked, so it must have gotten hot.
There was something else on the news recently, showing how prolonged laptop use on your lap can effect your skin. They call this erythema ab igne, or "Toasted Skin Syndrome" as seen here. This goes to show you how hot laptops get. But, it also scares me out of never wanting to keep my laptop on my lap again. There are many laptop pads and coolers on the market. Some are big and offer a more permanent solution, while others are small and can travel where ever the laptop goes.
The Arctic NC offers quiet cooling and portability for your laptop. The Arctic NC can fit any 12" to 19" laptop. The NC is constructed from polycarbonate, which makes it extremely durable and light. It comes loaded with two 60mm fans with PWM function for high performance and quiet operation. Arctic also included a 4 port USB hub on the NC to expand your laptop's capability. The Arctic NC is USB powered and compact, making it a perfect travel accessory for your laptop.
