Page 1 of 6 IntroductionAh, comfort. That is something I always try to achieve in all aspects of my life. Since much of my time for work and such is spent in front of the computer, I try to make that time as comfortable as possible. My desk chair is an expensive, all adjustable unit that provides the utmost in seating pleasure. My monitors are all positioned at optimum viewing angles to keep me from getting neck discomfort. Even my notebook is propped up on a laptop cooler to give me a better viewing angle and typing position. It seems that the last piece of computing equipment to receive a bit of the comfort treatment is my Mac Book.
Mac Books are becoming commonplace in many people’s homes and jobs. Much of the Mac world, with the exception of the iPhone, has not seen a large support network for accessories for their desktops or notebooks. Fortunately, there has been a response to the lack of accessories and accessory companies for the Mac. Recently, I received a new product from a long familiar face in the computer industry, Thermaltake. Thermaltake has developed a line of accessories to cater to the growing needs of the Mac crowd, and has donned it with the name Luxa.
The Luxa 2 M1-Pro is a Mac Book specific laptop stand to provide comfort during extended use. The Luxa 2 M1-Pro is an aluminum constructed support stand to incline the typing surface and elevate the screen for easy viewing. The underside of the Luxa 2 features a long heatsink to help dissipate some of the heat generated by the Mac Book, but the real focus is the increase in comfort associated with using the Luxa 2. |
