Zaward Vapor 120 CPU Cooler Review

Article Index

CPUs are advancing at an almost blinding rate. Technology is allowing companies to make better, more efficient, computer chips. However, because we have become accustomed to operating these chips at higher clock rates, they still dissipate an immense amount of thermal energy. Intel and AMD include CPU coolers with their retail box sales, but those coolers are typically the bare minimum needed to meet their respective CPU's TDP. They are made of lesser quality materials or don't have the development put into them like third party manufacturer's products. To put it bluntly, they just plain suck if you're more than an average user.

When building a gaming or heavy use computer, one of the most important things to be considered is the CPU cooler. Extra long sessions, where the computer is running at full speed, is going to put a ton of stress on the system. One of the hardest components hit is the CPU. There are many categories of users that need more than the manufacturer supplied cooler. When doing graphics or video encoding, the CPU is usually running at full load for extended periods of time. Heavy gamers usually play for hours, putting stress on both the CPU and GPU. There is also that special market of overclockers that just like to push their components to the edge.

The Zaward Vapor 120 CPU cooler is an excellent choice for your heavy thermal needs. The Zaward Vapor 120 supports all of the newest CPU sockets and comes equipped with a massive 120mm blue LED golf fan. There is also a ton of patented technology put into the Vapor 120's design. The Vapor 120's features include breathable fins, direct heat pipe contact, and a dual fan install option.
