Page 1 of 6 IntroductionCooling is one of the most important things required of computer components. A cooler computer is a more efficient computer. It also extends the life of the components. Almost everything hooked up inside computer case gets hot. This leads to a box of heat that needs to be vented somehow. Companies spend tons of time and effort perfecting computer cases to have optimal airflow. These cases usually end up having many chassis fans. Take the NZXT Zero case for example. It has 7 total 120mm chassis fans.
This leads to a few problems. One is too many fans and not enough plugs on your average motherboard to control them. There are many work arounds for people with this issue, like Molex fan adapters and Y splitter cables, but you don't get the best possible fan control with setups like those. Now if you did happen to buy a motherboard with extra fan plugs you are faced with having to configure software and all the hassles that come with that. There can be compatibility issues, failure of the software, no on-the-fly adjustments, etc... Not to mention the fact that you have to use system resources in order to keep that software running.
The NZXT Sentry 2 Performance Touch Screen 5.25" Fan Controller is the answer to all your system fan needs. The NZXT Sentry 2 Performance Touch Screen 5.25" Fan Controller is a full system fan controller with a touch of your finger. It can control up to 5 different fans and report 5 different temperatures with the placed sensors. Fans can be controlled either manually or with their intuitive "Auto" mode. You can also set a temperature alarm on each channel so you will be notified if it is exceeded. All of this squeezed into a single 5.25" bay.
