Page 1 of 4 IntroductionHeat; seems like most people have a love/hate relationship with this natural occurrence. Some people enjoy being in the heat, others don’t. Whether you love it or not, heat plays a major role in many different aspects of everyone’s lives. Heat is generated within our bodies to allow is to live and fight off infections. Heat is used to transfer energy in power plants to create electricity. Though these are some pretty useful aspects of heat, there are many times were heat can have a negative impact. Have you ever had your car over heat on you and still try to drive it?
Cars contain a complete system dedicated to the purpose of cooling a car’s engine to prevent damage. The radiator and hoses all carry coolant throughout the motor to keep the various parts from overheating, which would quickly lead to extensive damage. Your computer is not much different in that heat is the enemy within your system. This is especially the case with your computer’s CPU. Here heat is battled with a heatsink that helps dissipate the heat much like a car’s radiator does, with the help of a heat transfer agent known as a thermal paste.
The Coolink Chillaramic is a ceramic based thermal paste that provides superb thermal contact characteristics. The Coolink Chillaramic features excellent thermal conductivity while being easy to apply and clean up. The added benefits of no burn in time and no chance of electric conduction make this paste something worth taking a closer look at when deciding on a paste to use for your system build.
