Optimized motherboard defaults were used for stock settings, while the overclock benchmark was conducted with 1.425V core voltage and a 3.8GHz processor setting. CPU Smart-fan target was set to 40 in the BIOS and CPU minimum fan speed was disabled. Stock temperatures were taken with motherboard power saving features enabled and Windows power saving set to "Balanced", while overclocked temperatures were taken with the motherboard power saving features disabled and Windows power saving settings set to "High Performance". The top exhaust cover for the NZXT H2 was in place and the case fan speed setting was set to medium. Room temperature was set to 22C.
