Arctic Cooling RC Pro and RC Turbo Module PWM Fan RAM Cooler Review

Article Index

Arctic has a comprehensive product lineup for the modern lifestyle, ranging from power, sound, hobby, home and personal entertainment, to various PC peripherals. What Arctic is mostly known for, however, is their focus on various aspects of PC cooling. The original company name was, in fact, "Arctic Cooling" and was shortened to simply "Arctic" in 2010 to reflect the company's growth and expansion. Despite this change, Arctic has not lost focus and continues to provide a well-balanced and affordable cooling product line, while continuing to innovate and improve upon existing designs.

Arctic's PC cooling line includes CPU heatsinks, VGA coolers, desktop fans, notebook coolers, hard drive cooling enclosures, case fans and more. Arctic even has cooling products for lowering the temperatures of memory modules: The Arctic RC thermodynamic heat spreader paired with the Arctic RC Turbo Module fan aims to keep memory temperatures lower than any stock RAM cooler.

The Arctic Cooling RC Heatsink and RC Turbo Module PWM RAM Cooler have been updated for improved performance. The Arctic Cooling RC Pro and RC Turbo Module PWM RAM Cooler combo provide passive and top-down active cooling solution for enthusiasts who need better cooling than what stock RAM coolers provide. The Arctic RC Pro heatsink now features a 3-piece screw locking mechanism that was absent in the previous Arctic RC RAM heatsink. The new PWM version of the Arctic RC Turbo also improves upon performance by getting rid of the 4-pin Molex design and using the new Arctic PWM Sharing Technology, which allows multiple PWM devices to run from a single PWM header.
