Page 1 of 9 IntroductionCases have come a long way over the years in many aspects. First off, the designs of cases today have become much more advanced, with more attention to style and functionality than there seemed to be years back. In many instances, you will find cases that are extremely well priced, and that gives you many of the features you would expect in the more expensive cases, but at a much cheaper price. The philosophy with cases in the past has mainly been that you get what you pay for and that an inexpensive case is just that, with little in the way of style and function. I’m happy to say that those years seemed to have finally passed and the era of inexpensive, yet nicely designed cases is here.
Many case manufacturers have been following the trends of developing more variety in their lower lines of cases, due to the shift in consumer buying habits. The manufacturers are finally facing the fact that the economy sucks and people can’t afford to spend lots of money on their computers, especially in the case. This trend has seen a nice surge in the economically friendly price point in the computer case market, with some really stylish and functional designs. Antec has always been pretty well in touch with the computer industry and its current market trends, and has developed, accordingly, a nice gaming grade case, but at the consumer level price point.
The Antec Two Hundred case is from the same series as the well known 300 and 900, but with a very affordable price tag. The Antec Two Hundred case blends style and functionality to give way to an excellent entry level gaming case. The front grill gives off a very science fiction type vibe, with a variety of ventilation openings throughout the case. The front, as well as side panels, provide provisions for additional fans to help give this case a cooling edge for many gaming systems with large graphics cards. Share this Review |
