IntroductionWhen I decided to build a custom computer, at the top of my mind was expandability. I guess you could say that I’m a proponent of that old adage that more is better. In order to make your computer do what you want it to do, and support the hardware that you’d like it to support, you need elbow room. This means a full tower, with the most number of drive bays, hard drive mounts and fan mounting locations possible. My other main concern is that if I’m going to build a computer, I want to build a computer with style. The case should be sleek & classic, but also have a cutting edge feel to it. The NZXT Khaos Classic Series Case meets my requirements and is a great choice for a custom PC build. It is a professional, full tower welded aluminum chassis with loads of room for expansion. This expandability is underscored by its eleven 5.25” drive bays and mounting space for up to eight hard drives. The NZXT Khaos Chassis features mounting space and cabling to allow dual power supplies, allowing the user to split power usage between major components. The Khaos Classic Series Chassis is strong and stylish, manufactured out of 2mm and 3mm thick aluminum, with arching side panels, a symmetrical design and classic black color. The NZXT Khaos Case also features mounting locations for up to seven fans, including three fans mounted directly at the motherboard & video card. It also features enhanced convenience with a flip-out motherboard tray, rubber wheels and handle. Let’s take a closer look at the NZXT Khaos Classic Series Case.
The ProductThe NZXT Khaos Classic Series Chassis comes packaged in a monstrous 28” x 25 ½” x 11” box, representative of the size of this substantial product. The front provides a view of the chassis, complete with its glowing blue LED fan covers. It also highlights the key selling features of the product, which include, “Breakthrough Design, Thick Aluminum Build, Eight Hard Drive Capacity, Seven 120mm Fan Capacity and Dual Power Supply Support.” The back of the box expounds on the key features, and provides a few additional specifications.
