Page 1 of 8 IntroductionWhen you hear Dolby 5.1 or 2.0, do you really know what that means? Most people just go with the highest number, or the most expensive, without understanding the meaning behind it. I will give a quick lesson. The first number is the amount of full channels available. A 5.1 system would give you 5 full channels. Typically, with this setup there are two fronts, two rears, and one center channel. Now the ".1" after the 5 refers to the low frequency effect channel. Low frequency effects are the "sub-bass" cinematic effects, such as rumbles and explosions that rock your socks off.
High definition has changed the visual experience and encouraged many people to take their audio into consideration. Home theater systems are all the rage with the advancement of audio technology in movies and games. No longer are we in the age where stereo sound is adequate. Most televisions come with basic speakers that are pitiful in quality. Also, almost everything that is produced today in movies or games comes in a higher audio quality that needs to be taken advantage of to get the full effect.
The Sharkoon X-Tatic 5.1 Digital Headset gives you professional audio quality in a private headset. The X-Tatic 5.1 Digital Headset provides universal connectivity and complete comfort. Both analog and optical connections can be used to ensure that the X-Tatic 5.1 is compatible with all of your modern devices. Sharkoon included Xbox360 voice connectivity and has updated the X-Tatic with an improved microphone for better performance. The ear pieces have improved comfort with a velvet material and extra cushioning.
