Page 1 of 3 IntroductionIsn’t it funny how things work? Sometimes it seems like forever while you wait for something you have desired for quite a long time. As soon as the Palm Pre came available on the Sprint Network, I went and purchased it. I can honestly say it was the first cell phone that did everything I expected it to do. Emails were available when I requested them, my calendar worked correctly, and there was no problem transferring my contact list from my other phone. Of course there were also apps, apps for everything, and my two year search for a phone that did everything I needed it to do was finally over.
There was only one problem with my perfect phone, it wasn’t that rugged and God forbid, if it was dropped from more than a distance of two feet. The first month I owned the phone, I dropped it a total of five times and had it replaced three of the five; broken screen, un-lodged flip up and on off button mashed in. I must have spent $200.00 dollars on different cradles and pouches to protect it. None of them worked correctly, some would open if tapped and the phone would drop out, some were so tight that when you tried to lift it out, it would fly two feet, if you weren’t careful. Needless to say, there was nothing available that encased the phone and protected it efficiently. After eight months of aggravation, someone finally developed an enclosure that truly protected the phone from drops and made it so you didn’t have to remove it to flip up the display to reveal the keyboard. That company is OtterBox and the enclosure is part of their Tandem Series, made specifically for the Palm Pre.
The Otterbox Tandem Series Case is a protective shell that will help prolong the life of your Palm Pre. The Otterbox Tandem Series Case for the Palm Pre features two clam shell covers which encase your phone without hindering its performance or function. The hard, but grippable, outer shell helps prevent slips and falls and protects should the inevitable happen.
