Microsoft had announced the final version of the Windows 8 operating system just last week, and also made the new version available for OEMs for the retail sale of new PCs. After a brief renaming interlude for the Windows 8 style UI formerly known as Metro, we have a sneak peek of the official boxed copies which will be available for sale on October 26th.

Recently Microsoft trimmed the releases of the new OS to just ,Windows 8, Windows 8 Pro and Windows RT, and upgrade version available in stores or via and electronic download. Even though there were some earlier reports suggesting that Microsoft would not be providing the retail boxed copies of Windows 8, apparently they will be available in white for Windows 8, and black for Windows 8 Pro.
