October 17th is the day that Microsoft officially rolls out the new and improved version of the their latest operating system, Windows 8.1. At 7 AM (EST) the update for Windows became available at the Windows Store as a free update to download for those that have already installed Windows 8. Apparently Microsoft payed a bit of attention to some of the complaints that have surrounded the new flagship OS system, since it's launch, and the Windows 8.1 update will allow a more “customizable” Windows experience for the both mobile and desktop PC users that prefer more of a conventional mouse and keyboard PC desktop experience.
