Trends That Seriously Need to Be Stopped

lol.... Most of the shows that I watch on TV are either comedies(Big Bang, 30 Rock, Modern Family, The Simpsons etc...) or sci-fi/fantasy dramas(The Walking Dead, Alphas). I don't have any movie channels so I don't get some of the better shows like Game of Thrones or Dexter.

The only "job" show that I can say that I watch is Ghost Hunters.... and if you consider Mythbusters a "job" show.

My wife tho.... she eats up all that garbage. Yes, even the damn Kardashian and Housewife shows.

On to another trend that needs to go .... Contests being exclusively on facebook and/or twitter. I don't have either. Don't want either. Even our local news does all their crap on facebook/twitter now.

I don't watch TV from like 5-6 years, and I hate English speaking shows dubbed in Bulgarian so I watch them... you know how .

Another trend that needs to stop: Gaming headsets and motherboards, especially stuff branded with famous gamer nicknames.

"Reality show" is kind of a massive blanket statement that encompasses game shows, pseudo documentaries, cooking shows and parades of veritable human garbage. I still watch Survivor and Amazing Race once in a while. Gordon Ramsay is always good TV, Anthony Bourdain as well. Top Gear is always good. I hate extreme makeover home edition because Ty Pennington isn't a real carpenter. I love Divine Design because Candace Olsen is one of the greatest interior designers of all time. I hate Biggest Loser because they don't tile out the disgusting obese male nipples but half the screen is blurred on the hot girls in Survivor.

Remember when Discovery Channel, TLC, History Channel and A&E had educational programming? Now they have shows about Toilet Babies and Sasquatches (seriously).

If your wife or girlfriend is addicted to the housewife shows. She'll probably get addicted to Say Yes to the Dress on TLC. Every woman I know has that banked on their DVR.

That could be worse to have some KickA** endorsement on mainboard, memory, cases, GPU cowls, and PSUs stickers immediately adding a $500 dollar endorsement fee to the product.

It's been my experience that some of that stuff is actually lower quality.

The biggest problem is that it's not some of this stuff, it's almost all of this stuff. I very rarely see some exceptions.

Exactly clay ! can't recall the classic comment from George with some these Transformer characters on the heatsinks. Certainly some tasteful styling 'bling' can be cool.
After all it is a heatsink not a Pez candy dispenser.

I suppose some fashion statements of brown socks & sandals are one thing

while saggy pants are another.
