Why not try the Cooler Master PSU calculator?

Calculator

1000 ~ 1200 Watts I guess.

I can offer you a great 1275W one still in package
On Topic: If you plan to overclock that thing guess a good 1KW will be the target, if you plan running stock a quality ~850W will suffice but you'll have to skip on the disco ball :(.

Well we all know that the PSU calculators don't work that well. Usually they bloat everything. Thanks for the link though.

What needs to be done is to figure out on paper how many watts are needed.
I know that @ 4.9 GHz my CPU can pull almost 225W , My Video card oced will pull 250W Right there that's 500W. Hard drives generally run at about 18W a piece so that's 90W, figure the water cooler is 50W, All the fans in the case are approx 30W, Blu-Ray 15W and then the caths which are about 5W a piece. All together that's 670W. Give it 100W for a little over current. 750 to 800W.

My whole point was to show that we are led to believe that more is better and that things are more than they seem.

Shocker? your Crazy? No you calculated wrong?

Actually in my case the calculator was almost correct. It gives me 639W in full load and and my fan controllers' wattage meter gives me ~650W. That's quite accurate if you ask me, considering there are things missing from the calculator like GPU overclocking.
EDIT: Also BD, I'm not entirely sure but I think you missed something. The MB should draw some watts, too. After all it's something that requires a power connection and heats up to the point it needs cooling (the R4E chipset even has active one).
