No, $9.99 at NewEgg. Fractal's decision was to do no USB 3.0 at all rather than doing the cables out the back. They had stated this at the time, and that the upgrade kit would be available at a low price when USB 3.0 headers were standardized.

The other case I was using at the same time promised a free upgrade kit....that never was offered free or as a retail upgrade kit. And this was a $200+ case from a major mfg.

Yeah, if I remember correctly at the time of the release of the original Define XL motherboard manufacturers couldn't settle on a design for internal I/O connectors, so I guess it was a good decision.
