The Manual that came with this new monitor is rather sparse on details. I have heard, somewhere, that to enable the highest resolution that I must use a DVI-D cable. Is this so?
Are there any quirks unique to this monitor of which I should be made aware?
I really only wanted to add another of the 27" ASUS MT276HE monitors I have been using for several years, but the bezel was just too wide for my taste. I really don't care for 3D so I just got the best looking large single monitor I could find. Without using a large TV monitor, of course. That would've just been tasteless.
I still haven't decided which of my videocards to try with this new monitor first. Either my pair of vanilla EVGA GTX 680's or my EVGA GTX 690 Signature.
The 680's, at stock speeds, beats the 690, but I don't think that the SLi'd 680's can keep up with my 690 once I OC it.
Would it be best to use a KVM switch that uses DVI-D ports with my various computers, or just connect each computer with its own video cable and just use the keyboard, mouse and speaker function separately?
Questions such as these just won't be found in monitor manuals.
TIA,
k1
