I recently received this
QuickFire Rapid Mechanical Gaming Keyboard, that I happened to win in a contest on-line & has the Cherry black switches.
Only had the new CM Quick Fire for about a week and the previous keys I was using were the
Razer Lycossa for about a year.
no backlit keys which surprises me that I do not actually miss the backlite.
I miss the keypad a bit more.
But one thing I like is the activation and tactile feel and responsiveness of the mechanical keys compared to the Lycossa.
so it could be that a keyboard like the
CM Storm QuickFire Pro (Cherry MX Brown) might be a slightly better one with a noticeably lighter activation 50grams pressure on the keys could possibly be a better choice.
Here is link to the video for the
CM Storm QuickFire Pro (Cherry MX Brown switch) Gaming Keyboard OverviewStill been wanting to check out the mechanical keyboards anyways since the responsiveness, and crispness are noticeably better. Maybe the overall action is similar to playing the piano with the keystroke activation could be similar to depressing keys on the piano to trigger the hammers inside ? Be interested to hear what you would have to say about that should you decide to give the mechanical keyboards a try.
I think you should try them out.
**** note been hearing some very positive things about some of the CM Trigger keyboards too.
