Random and 'Wacky' Cool Stuff

Just thought to start a little thread for stuff to share that does not quite and have a thread of it's own. Not necessarily news stuff , we already have that for member to post and share in the News From Around the Web thread. Maybe something like this that I happened to spot on FB that Manduh shared on the social sites recently.

This is cool!

Instructions:
1. Stare at the red dot on the girls nose for 30 seconds.
2. Turn your eyes to a plain surface (your ceiling or blank wall).
3. While looking at the plain surface, blink repeatedly and quickly.
Tell me if that isn't the coolest thing?

**** yep pretty cool and many a time we see things that can enhance a community such as this.

yeah me too..and thought hey wait a minute .. surprisingly many of us see 'stuff like this all the time and would be pretty cool to have a place to share some of the snips and clips.

LOL It is definitely cool enough to 'borrow' off my fb wall I got it in an email anyway

I've always liked these things, but this one is even cooler because your brain actually takes the negative image and converts it to full colour. The longer you look at it the better the image will look. Very interesting!

not to be a buzz kill....those images are quite interesting as to how the brain process images as they appear to be and how they actually are in the physical realm of things..
an example would be if you can look at either (especially the second one) and can focus enough to get them to stop you moving, you would be most likely to be able to hit a decent curve ball or breaking ball.
