Corsair has announced today adding a new series of SSDs, called the Force Series GS SSDs. In an attempt to bring higher speeds and performance, Corsair chose the SandForce SF-2200 SSD Controller and combined it with the fastest NAND memory technology currently available, known as Toggle-Mode NAND to boost random write speeds to 90,000 IOPs. The New Force Series GS SSDs are immediately available in capacities of 180GB, 240GB, 360GB, and 480GB. Prices are about a dollar a gigabyte, in US dollars, $189.99 for 180GB, $239.99 for 240GB, $349.99 for 340GB and $489.99 for 480GB capacities. Be sure to check out the familiar benchmarks that are included in the link to the Corsair Blog Page in the press release that follows.
