C omputer Ed this week begins with look at Apples stealth efforts to add malware protection to their OS. Despite all the Mac user claims to having an OS free of virus infections, even in Apple radio ads, Computer Ed looks at why Apple is not telling anyone they are offering protection.Western Digital SiliconEdge Blue 64 Gig
Next Computer Ed looks at the latest lawsuit by the record industry. It seems the record industry thinks Limeware should pay as much as 15 years’ worth of total revenue for the record industry. Computer Ed then asks the question, how much of this money will the artists actually get? Computer Ed next begins the discussion of helping the beginning DIYer not feel overwhelmed as they explore this hobby. The place to start, as it should be all users is defining what you want to do with your PC. Next Computer Ed takes a few questions from email and Hi Tech Legions forums. First he explains how a fear of having your data stolen from a home network is possible but unlikely. Next he tries to explain the many numbers associated with picking a Microprocessor. Computer Ed brings yet another SSD into the show for review, this time from Western Digital, the SiliconEdge Blue 64 Gig. Discuss this show in the Hi Tech Legion Forums. Don't forget to check Computer Ed's Blog for more thoughts.
